Everything guests and hosts usually want to know. Can't find it here? Just email us.
You choose the length when you set it up — see the pricing page for the options. The gallery stays live for that whole term from the day it's created, and guests can keep adding photos right up until it expires.
Most hosts find 90 days is plenty — it covers the week-after excitement plus the slower trickle of photos from guests who forget straight away. Bigger weddings with more out-of-town guests often prefer 180 days, and the 360-day option gives a fully relaxed window for anyone who takes months to get round to it.
Yes — this is completely fine and common. The gallery term starts from when you buy it (or from the event date you set, if you'd rather it start later), so just pick a length that comfortably covers the gap between now and your event, plus time afterwards for guests to upload.
Once the term ends, the gallery closes and guests can no longer upload or view it. Make sure you've downloaded everything (individually or as one ZIP) from your host dashboard before the expiry date.
Yes — you can pay to extend your gallery's active period directly from your host dashboard if you want more time before it closes.
Every gallery gets a short link and a QR code, both sent to you by email and available any time from your host dashboard. Print the QR code on a table card, add it to your order of service, or just share the link in a group chat.
Yes — every gallery comes with its own QR code, ready to print on table cards, signage, or your order of service so guests can scan and upload in seconds.
Yes. From your host dashboard you can download your gallery's QR code as an SVG (best for professional printing) or a large PNG (for Canva, Word or Pages). Both open exactly the same upload page as the QR code in your welcome email, so anything you have already printed keeps working. Leave a clear blank border around the code, keep it dark on a light background, and test-scan a printout before ordering a big run.
No. Framejar does photo and video sharing, and we focus on doing that well, so we do not print signs or table cards. What you get is the QR code itself: download it from your host dashboard as a PNG or an SVG, then give it to any printer or designer, or add it to your own design. If you would like a suggestion, for our own wedding signs we used Art Creations by Lisa. We have received nothing for mentioning them, as we do not advertise other businesses.
Go to the host log in page and choose "Forgot your password or gallery ID?", or visit framejar.co.uk/reset. Enter the email address you used when you set up your gallery and we will send you a link to choose a new password. The email also shows your gallery ID. The link works for one hour and can only be used once. If you have more than one gallery under the same email address, you will get a separate email for each. If nothing arrives, check your junk folder, and for security the page shows the same message whether or not the email matches a gallery. Still stuck? Email mark@framejar.co.uk.
No. Guests scan a QR code or tap a link, and upload straight from their phone's browser. No app, no sign-up, nothing to remember.
Yes — guests can upload photos and videos through the same upload link. Videos are automatically compressed for a smoother upload, with a safe fallback to the original file if compression ever fails.
Yes — it works straight from the browser, no app required. Guests scan the QR code or tap the link, choose their photos, and upload.
Yes — the same as iPhone, it works directly in the browser on any Android phone with no app required.
You'll need the link or QR code from the host — usually shared in a group chat, printed on a card at the event, or similar. Galleries aren't publicly searchable or listed anywhere, which is intentional, since they're private to the people invited.
No fixed limit on the number of files — upload as many as you like during the gallery's open period.
Yes, on the 360-day plan. Your first event is set up at checkout, and from your host dashboard you can add more, each with its own name, guest link and QR code, and you switch between them with one tap. Your plan includes 3 events in total, and they all share the plan's expiry date, so extending your plan extends them together. If you want another event with a full year of its own, you can add one for 20 pounds. That option appears once your plan has 300 days or less left. Each event has its own storage allowance and its own sharing setting, and guests only ever see the event they scanned.
Standard photo and video formats from any phone or camera, including RAW files. RAW files are stored and downloadable exactly as uploaded, but won't show a preview thumbnail in the gallery since they need specialist software (like Lightroom or Apple Photos) to open.
No — photos are stored exactly as uploaded, at full original quality. Videos may be compressed for storage efficiency, but never to the point of visibly harming quality.
It just flags that a file is a RAW camera format. These need specialist photo-editing software to open properly and won't preview in a normal browser or photo app — but the original file is safely stored and downloadable, untouched.
Yes — the host dashboard shows thumbnail previews for photos and videos as they come in, so you can see what's arrived without needing to download each one first.
Only people with the link or QR code you share. Galleries are private and not listed or searchable anywhere.
No. Nothing is sold on, shared with advertisers, or data-mined. It's run by a real person, on our own infrastructure, for exactly the purpose you're using it for.
Your gallery data lives on our own UK-based servers. We also keep an offsite backup with a UK-based cloud provider for disaster recovery — see our privacy policy for full detail.
We've been asked for this, and thought about it carefully. It's a deliberate choice, not an oversight: Framejar is built to be private by default. A live display shows guest photos to the whole room the moment they're uploaded, before anyone — including you as the host — has had a chance to see them first. We'd rather keep every photo private to the gallery, viewable only by people with the link, than add a feature that puts unfiltered guest uploads on a big screen in real time.
No — one single payment for the length of gallery you choose. No recurring charges, no auto-renewal.
Yes, within 48 hours of purchase, as long as the gallery hasn't been used (no guest uploads yet). Get in touch and we'll sort it.
We run occasional launch or seasonal offers — keep an eye on our Facebook page for current codes.
Framejar keeps every photo and video at full quality automatically, on a dedicated gallery just for your event, with nothing tied to anyone's personal account. See our full comparison for the honest details.
